(C)RS\u003cbr\u003e\nAbout the Artist: UKANDANZ UKANDANZ is a mixed group formed in 2010 by Ethiopian charismatic singer Asnake Gebreyez and four French musicians who were active in the jazz-punk scene. The group was formed when guitarist Damien Kruzel met Francis Falset, producer of the \"Ethiopique\" series which revives the golden age of Ethiopian music (1960s-70s), in Addis Ababa in 1999. Their shocking sound, which elevates 1970s Ethiopian music with jazz-rock-punk arrangements, became a hot topic in Europe and America.
