Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, and member of the highly acclaimed group Durand Jones \u0026amp; the Indications, will release his second solo album, \"Into the Blue,\" on June 28th via Dead Oceans. \"Into the Blue\" follows his critically acclaimed 2021 debut album. The album boldly blends soul, psychedelia, spaghetti western, disco, gospel, and hip-hop, impressively showcasing the breadth of Frazer's sonic talent. \"This album is the clearest portrait of me as an artist,\" Frazer said of the album, and while retaining his falsetto and classic songwriting, he firmly established 'Into The Blue' in the present era by weaving in genres and production techniques with a hip-hop mentality at its core. 'Into The Blue' was born from heartbreak. After ending a long relationship, Frazer moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and embarked on a journey reflected in the album's themes of sadness, loneliness, and the search for healing. He enlisted Grammy Award winner Alex Goose (known for collaborations with hip-hop artists such as Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, and Brockhampton) as co-producer of the album. He collected samples from unexpected sources such as the '90s R\u0026amp;B group Hi-Five, and experimented with recordings for the first time to complete the work. Aaron Frazer was born in Baltimore in 1991. Frazer started playing drums at the age of nine and remembers listening to Will Smith's \"Big Willie Style\" in 1997 and Jay-Z's \"Hard Knock Life\" in 1998. \"I kept playing Jay-Z's 'Reasonable Doubt' and Nas's 'Illmatic' until I understood every single break on those records,\" Frazer says. Furthermore, The Roots' \"Tipping Point\" was a particularly important work for Frazer due to its groundbreaking live instrumentation. In 2021, Frazer released his solo debut album, \"Introducing...\", produced by Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach. [TRACKLIST]01. Thinking Of You 02. Into The Blue 03. Fly Away 04. Payback 05.
