Peter Missing, Chris Egan, Bob Burt, and others formed the band \"DRUNK DRIVING,\" the predecessor to Missing Foundation, in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1980. From 1981, they moved their base of operations to New York and played live shows every week in New York alongside SWANS, SONIC YOUTH, HEART ATTACK, and others, becoming a part of the New York underground scene. Eventually, Bob Burt left to focus on his work with Sonic Youth Pussy Galore, but Peter and Chris continued DRUNK DRIVING with a new lineup. In 1983, they recorded their first and only album, this one, at Dubway Studios in New York and released it independently on cassette. Shortly after, Peter Missing and Chris Egan disbanded DRUNK DRIVING and formed Missing Foundation in 1984. After releasing their groundbreaking debut album \"Missing Foundation (S\/T)\" in 1987, they have been actively releasing music ever since. To date, they have released six original albums.
