In response to the question, \"If you could go back 10 years, what would you tell yourselves?\", they recorded the album using the same methods, dates, and locations as the original version. They themselves wanted to create this new version, and they consider themselves a completely different band now. This new work is the definitive version the band wants you to hear, and it will be the main version the band promotes going forward. They also commissioned the artist who created the original artwork to create new artwork. [KHRUANGBIN] Khruangbin, a Houston-based trio (bassist Laura Lee Ochoa, guitarist Mark Speer, and drummer Donald ?gDJ?h Johnson), toured for nearly three and a half years until the summer of 2019, releasing two albums, 'The Universe Smiles Upon You' and 'Con Todo El Mundo'. Afterwards, they returned to their studio on their farm in Burton, Texas, to begin production on their third album, 'Mordechai'. Released in June 2020, 'Mordechai' reached number 31 on the US charts and number 7 on the UK charts. It also charted in various countries in Europe, Oceania, and Asia, achieving great success. During this time, they also released the collaborative EP 'Texas Sun' with Leon Bridges in 2020, followed by its sequel, 'Texas Moon', in 2022. They also collaborated with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Tour?, releasing the album \"Ali\" in 2022, a tribute to Vieux's late father, Ali Farka Tour?. Meanwhile, 2022 saw the band embark on their largest tour to date, including legendary performances at the Greek Theatre in LA, Radio City Music Hall in New York, and Alexandra Palace in London. They also focused on highlighting the diverse repertoire of their tour partners and introducing their favorite musicians, and in 2023, they announced a year-long project to release a live album featuring numerous guest artists. In May, they released a live album at Stubb's in Austin, Texas, featuring Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, and Robert Ellis. This was followed by live albums at Radio City in New York with Nubya Garcia, at RBC Echo Beach in Toronto with Men I Trust, and at The Fillmore in Miami with Toro Y Moi and others. In December, they released \"Live at Sydney Opera House,\" which featured only their own songs, releasing a total of five live albums.
