4526180643777
Temples EXOTICO Japan Music CD

Product Description
Temples, the psychedelic rock band formed in Kettering, England, have completed their fourth album. A brilliant collage of psychedelia, krautrock, and timeless dream pop, 'Exotico' is now released. Produced by Sean Lennon / Mixed by Dave Fridmann. Temples will release their fourth album, 'Exotico', produced by Sean Lennon, on April 14, 2023, via ATO Records. Having already collaborated with Lennon on the 2020 single "Paraphernalia," the band recorded the album at his New York studio. Mixing was handled by Dave Fridmann (Beach House, Spoon, The Flaming Lips). During the creation of 'Exotico', Temples learned about the phenomenon of "phantom islands"?lands that were once marked on maps but later proved non-existent, sea mirages, or deliberate myths. Kettering's band's fourth album, 'Exotico', shares a similar mystical setting: a utopia dreamed of by James Bagshaw (vocals/guitar), Tom Walmsley (bass), Adam Smith (guitar), and Rens Ottink (drums). It's a brilliant collage of psychedelia, krautrock, and timeless dream pop, vividly expressing its world while exploring every existential theme imaginable. Having first met Lennon in 2019, they immediately felt a deep creative connection, and the 12-day 'Exotico' sessions resulted in a significant departure from the self-contained approach they had maintained since their debut album, 'Sun Structures'. For Temples, creating 'Exotico' satisfied both their transcendent imaginative impulses and their understandable need for escape from the real world. Temples is a psychedelic rock band formed in 2012 in Kettering, Northamptonshire by James Bagshaw (vocals/guitar) and Tom Walmsley (bass). They released their debut single "Shelter Song" in 2012 and their debut album "Sun Structures" in 2014. The album reached number 7 on the UK charts, and they held their first solo concert in Japan in May of the same year. In July, they performed at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. In 2017, they released their second album "Volcano," which received high praise from NME, The Clash, and others, and they performed at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL again in July of the same year. In 2019, they released their third album "Hot Motion." A concert in Japan was scheduled for the following year, 2020, but was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. [TRACKLIST] 1. Liquid Air 2.
