Their second album, \"Where We Were Together,\" released in 2018, received the most nominations (5 categories) at the 16th Korean Popular Music Awards, winning two awards (Album and Song) for Best Modern Rock, and they embarked on tours in Europe, Asia, and North America. Following this, they provided music for the hit Korean drama \"Yumi's Cells,\" and are now releasing their new full-length album, \"The Last Thing Left,\" from the highly acclaimed indie rock quartet from Busan, South Korea. After their international activities, including their North American debut tour at the end of 2019, Say Sue Me, like many others around the world, were forced to suspend their tours in 2020 and quietly began working on their new album. \"The Last Thing Left\" is a self-recorded and self-produced work from the band's studio in Busan during lockdown. The album explores themes of loss, loneliness, sadness and healing, and love, following the departure of band members and the arrival of the pandemic. The lead single, Tr.3 \"Around You,\" is a delightful track that blends an upbeat, melancholic sound reminiscent of 1960s surf guitar with strong influences from 1990s indie rock. Tr.6 \"To Dream\" is the only song with Korean lyrics among the album's 10 tracks. With its dreamy yet clearly evocative lyrics, whispering vocals, sweet melody, and layers of guitar and Kim Ok-ki's saxophone, it's a masterpiece that gradually builds a quiet sense of exhilaration. Say Sue Me, celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, will hold their first solo concerts in approximately three years in Seoul and Busan in May to commemorate the album's release, and are also scheduled to perform at Fuji Rock Festival '22 on July 30th (Saturday). In the fall, they will hold their North American tour, which was postponed due to the impact of the coronavirus, and they plan to continue their energetic live performances from winter through next year.
