4523132149363
Franz Ferdinand The Human Fear [Bonus Track] (BRC769) Japan Music CD

Product Description

Franz Ferdinand, one of the world's leading rock bands of the 2000s, has released their new album, "The Human Fear," on Domino, six and a half years after their last release! Produced once again by Mark Ralph, who also worked with them on their 2013 album "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action," this upbeat masterpiece instantly grabs the listener's heart and inspires a positive outlook on life. It fearlessly forges ahead in their unique style, unleashing the essence of Franz Ferdinand. Recorded at AYR Studios in Scotland, all 11 tracks on "The Human Fear" hint at the fears lurking deep within humanity and how overcoming and accepting those fears drives and defines our lives. From their early days, throwing underground parties in the ruins of Glasgow, Franz Ferdinand has built their unique style through a transcendent perspective that is fresh, timeless, positive, art-school-like, yet loves big songs. "The Human Fear" undoubtedly carries on this tradition. Unique yet fresh, musically and creatively, this record depicts a band relentlessly pushing forward. They had written almost all of the songs before entering the studio. The idea was to prepare a songbook before recording and then immediately put it into action once inside the studio. Many of the songs were recorded live with the band in their room, and most of the vocals on the album are original takes. This album marks the first studio album with Audrey Tate and Dino Bardot, and also features Julian Corley, who joined in 2017, participating in songwriting and creative work alongside Alex Kapranos and Bob Hardy. As a band that values ??aesthetics and style as much as sound, this importance is reflected in the album artwork, which is inspired by Hungarian artist Dora Maurer's self-portrait "7 Twists." What made Maurer's work so appealing was that it combined what they sought in their music: an undeniable, vivid improvisation, and a depth and fragility that allowed it to withstand repeated listening without becoming tiresome. Perhaps this album is a collection of songs about fear, or perhaps it is a collection of songs that prove that a band that symbolizes its era is continuing an undeniable, living legacy.
